wcqs membership drive

Your gift to WCQS this morning will be matched for Asheville Humane Society. Our goal is $10,000 by 10 AM. $10,000 for WCQS means $10,000 in matching funds to benefit two spay and neuter programs at AHS.

Joining Barbara Sayer and Dick Kowal in the studio this morning is Sarah Hess, Asheville Humane Society's Interim Executive Director.

WCQS is only as vibrant and vital as the community we serve. That’s why we are partnering with Asheville Humane Society this morning, but we need your help!

Your contribution to WCQS right now will be matched dollar-for-dollar to benefit Asheville Humane Society's Safety Net Program.

WCQS listeners are responding to our call to shorten the upcoming Spring Membership Drive. The drive has already been shortened by TWO DAYS, and we're working on shortening it by a third. Let's keep the

momentum going!

For every $30,000 raised by March 31st, the upcoming Membership Drive will be shortened by a day. It can be a nine day drive, or a five day drive – or even a one day drive! The choice is yours.

We know you want more uninterrupted programming and fewer days devoted to the membership drive. But we also know that membership is the single largest source of funding for the service we provide. So, let’s work together to accomplish all of our goals. For every $30,000 contributed by March 31st, our upcoming membership drive will be one day shorter. Let’s raise the money it takes to bring you the programming you count on – in less time.

Every $30,000 means a shorter drive. It can be a nine day drive, or a five day drive – or even a one day drive! The choice is yours.

Our thanks to the 2,400 listeners who supported WCQS this fall, helping us exceed our goal, raising more than $257,000. Every dollar pledged to WCQS helps us stay a strong, independent source for news, music and entertainment in Western North Carolina. Every dollar pledged during the drive is also being matched by Eblen Charities to provide heating assistance to people in need this winter.
