A special note to our listeners in Franklin, Macon County and North Georgia – listening to WCQS at 91.3 FM:
On Tuesday, October 7th, Duke Power will replace a power line that feeds our transmitter site. We hope to remain on the air throughout the process – but we can’t be sure. So you may find yourself without the programming you count on for a while.
We’re working with Duke – and working hard to remain on the air - uninterrupted. We’ll do our best – but we wanted to let you know about a potential outage for Tuesday October 7th.
As of Monday night WCQS has restored service to Cherokee County. This afternoon service was restored in Transylvania Count. WCQS remains off the air in Macon, and Swain County - as well as parts of Jackson County and North Georgia. Our signals originating in Franklin, Bryson City, and Highlands are all affected.
