We've had an overwhelming wonderful response when we announced our upcoming trip Rediscover Cuba - A Cultural Exploration. So much so, we added a second trip to Cuba next spring. Both trips initially sold out, but we now have a few spaces on the trip departing February 18, 2014. The spaces won't last long, so be sure to sign up now if you are interested.
WCQS will be traveling to Cuba next February and March. Our original tour, scheduled for Mar 2 - 10, 2014 tour sold out before we even had the information meeting. Because of that we added a second tour, which (ironically) will take place Feb. 18 - 26, 2014. If you didn't get to register for Rediscover Cuba - A Cultural Exploration, be sure to get in on the February trip now or get your name on the waiting list for the March trip.
This guided journey, "Rediscover Cuba - A Cultural Exploration" was coordinated with our friends at Collette Vacations. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to explore a culture so close to our own shores, but cut off from the U.S. for fifty years. We'll explore this beautiful island nation, a country rich in history, culture and religion. Over the course of eight days of adventure in this timeless land, we will learn what life is like in Cuba.
We'll spend three nights in city of Trinidad, known for its cobblestone streets and pastel colored houses. We'll then spend four nights in Cuba's Capital City of Havana, staying at the historic Hotel Nacional. This program is designed to promote people-to-people cultural exchanges, so you will truly get to experience Cuba.
You'll be traveling with friends because our tour will attract people like you - public radio listeners. On this exclusive trip our group will be about 30 people - not too big, not too small. Music, dance, art, agriculture, a cigar factory and Ernest Hemingway's home are just some of the highlights you will enjoy with WCQS on this journey.
