Tony Kiss Weekend Update

Aug 29, 2014

Monday is Labor Day.  Labor Day in the U.S. is a federal holiday observed the first Monday in September.  In the late 1800s the Central Labor  Union of New York City backed a day off for workers to celebrate the American labor movement.  In addition to recognizing the contribution of working class people, Labor Day marks the end of  summer and the unofficial beginning of many political campaigns.  In Western North Carolina it marks the return of several traditional events including  the Canton Labor Day parade and the Hendersonville County Apple Festival.  Tony Kiss offers his take on what's ahead.....
