Quiet at the Climatic Data Center

While Senate Democrats and Republicans have reached an agreement to reopen the federal  government, it was another unusually quiet day today at the world's largest active archive of weather data.  The partial shutdown of the federal government,  which  began the first of October, has left  the  National Climatic Data Center in Asheville  with a skeleton crew.     David Hurand stopped by the Federal Building along Patton Avenue to visit with  an essential employee at the Center.
