Back in 1986, after working very hard in various jobs including landscaping, commercial fishing, cable tv, telephone and electrical construction, I graduated from Southwestern Community College with a degree in Video and Audio production. Soon I was traveling the country shooting Arabian horses and producing horsey videos for the Arabian horse industry. In 1989 I started working for Panavision as a Film Camera technician, lighting grip and electrician. After working in Los Angeles and Orlando, I was promoted to Operations Manager at the Panavision office in Wilmington, NC in 1993. I resigned in 1998 in order to move back to Asheville to take care of my dear mother. It was my good fortune to apply and to be hired by Western North Carolina Public Radio in 2000 and I’ve been here playing radio ever since.
